No, Dear Abby has never been male--although her bouffant would have made a drag queen jealous. Heloise was a female as well, although her daughter has been giving out hints for a long time now. From what I could tell, Young Heloise is a female, as well. Although she is from Texas, she doesn't have big hair--just a lot of long, flowing, prematurely-gray hair.
Personally, I'd love an advice/housekeeping hint column by RuPaul. Her makeup is effing perfect.
